India’s Micromax launches new range of Android smartphones for Lankan market

Oct 22, 2014 (LBO) - Micromax, a mobile handset company in India introduced a wide range of android smartphones to the local market targeting at lower spenders.
“The new smartphone range recently introduced to the local market is a valuable offering from Micromax in the budget Android segment,” said Amit Mathur, Vice President,International Business of Micromax.

“We believe in providing consumers with a choice of platforms and through the new range we offer products and services that simplify and enhance the experience of consumers.”

Upping the ante in the smartphone sector, the new range of smartphones are economically priced and ideal for mobile users to experience Android, Micromax said.

“Our standards for budget Android are trailblazing, opening doors to the exciting world of Android apps for users.” Sanjeev Ariaratnam, Director, Metropolitan Telecom Services Pvt. Ltd the sole distributer of Micromax Sri Lanka said.

Among the newly launched smartphones are the; the Bolt A37B, Bolt A69, Canvas Unite (A092), Canvas Engage (A091), Canvas Fire 2 (A104), Canvas Fire (A093), Canvas Unite 2 (A106) and the Canvas Power (A96), designed to support powerful processing, efficient multi-tasking, richer graphics and media capability while optimizing battery life.

The phone are available within the price range of 7,990 rupees to 19,990 rupees, Micromax said.
